Dodge City's Revenge part 3

The foot slowly descended upon us, straining against the might of the heroes who struggled for their lives. The very ground began to buckle under the force of Magnet Girl's magnetic field.
“Ahhh.” said RP and he withdrew his hands from the piano, he flailed them wildly about.

Everything went into slow motion.
Magnet Girl passed out and fell slowly to the ground. I watched in horror as her field disappeared.
I listened as the notes hung in the air then faded.
The world began to return to normal speed. I watched the foot lower. I developed a sudden case of claustrophobia.

“Damn you all,” said Independent Man.

--Group One
“Wow, that was incredible Mr Tacious. I would have never figured out that clever way of evacuating 45,000 people from Dodge City,” said the Carbonator.
“Oh, it was nothing.” replied Austin.
“No, it was much more than nothing. It was incredible, evacuating all those people in under ten minutes.” said the Rock, who was carrying the still unconscious Moor Lee.
“Well, I couldn't have done it without that small body of water and those two canoes that were filled with baked goods,” said Austin. The group looked at him in awe.
“Good work though, I must say,” said the Carbonator.
“I wonder how Adam is doing,” said the Rock.

--Adam
'All the people had been evacuated, but many more were in peril,' thought Adam.
'I must find the power source to this evil city.'
His eyes scanned the city trying to find any structure that looked un-Dodge City-ish.
Then he spotted it. A very tall white building labeled SEFWDC. A caption beneath the label read 'safe energy for walking Dodge City.'
'That is probably it.'
He leapt into a black Dodge Viper convertible that was idling next to him. Adam sped off.
Within a short minute he arrived, compliments of the fast car, and the traffic-less streets.

Adam marched into the building, entered the lobby. Beyond the lobby he saw massive vault doors. Upon closer inspection Adam realized that it had quite an incredible security system. This could be tough.

--Group Two
The foot fell unimpeded now, to mere centimeters above my head.
Independent Man lifted his arms skyward and unleashed a remarkable array of cosmic blasts, propelling Dodge City's left foot upward.
Dodge City stumbled back a few steps, arms twitching to regain balance and managed to keep itself from tumbling.
“Wow, Independent Man, why didn't you do that earlier?” asked me.
“Damn it, man, you are asking too much of me.” said IM. He turned his back to me.
“Come on, blast him more, push him out of the city.”
“You can't tell me what to do.”
I let out an exasperated sigh. “Okay, let us scatter and run between and around his legs. We can lead him back out of the city.”
“Alright!” said everyone, except for a stray “screw you” from the likeliest source of such a statement.

I jumped onto my High Horse (which I can instantly form, you must remember, it wasn't just sitting there). I then reached around pressed the button on my suit's built in sound FX machine. 'MOOOOOOO' it roared on volume 8 of 10.
And we charged, except for Mr Br O N.

--Adam
Luckily, it wasn't that tough. The crime rate was really low in the new Dodge City, despite all the villains living there. Last time they shut the door they didn't bother locking up.
Adam swung the vault door open exposing the massive power chamber, with 6 large tubes each containing a brightly glowing sphere. Adam went from chamber to chamber opening them up and removing the spheres.
After gathering all of them, Adam began to flee. He could feel Dodge City was still moving. He was somehow instilled with the knowledge that as long as the spheres were within the city limits, Dodge City would have power still.
Adam was not, however, instilled with the knowledge the he had disabled the micro gravity field and Dodge City's protective force field.

--Group One meets Group Two
“Hey guys, follow up.” I shouted at the Rock, Carbonator, Austin Tacious and Moor Lee (who had just moments before regained conscious thought).
And the massive group fled from Overland Park, Dodge City in hot pursuit. It was moving slower and we found ourselves not losing ground to it.

The Seer stood behind her creation, then rejoiced.
“Finally, I will show Levine that Physics will always prevail over Chemistry! Roy G Biv will crush you Cl I F H Br O N! Roy! Attack!”

Roy G Biv bolted at Cliff H Bron and Mr Bron greeted him with a solid right cross to Roy's jaw. Roy's head spun around and re-straightened and Roy laughed.
“It is over Cliff, I am a universal force, you are just chemicals!” Roy then unleashed a series of laser blasts searing Cliff's chemical makeup.
Cliff charged in and rammed into Roy, forcing him to lose a couple feet. Cliff followed up with a vicious double axe-handle leveling Roy to the ground. Roy exploded apart in a dazzling show of light and reformed behind Cliff.
“THIS IS OVER!” roared Cliff.
The Seer began pointing over his shoulder to Roy.
“There is someone behind you!” she shouted.
“I KNOW!” and Roy bounded head first into Cliff, discharging massive amounts of energy into the chemical titan.
Cliff's head jerked back and light was flying everywhere.
He slowly looked back down and stared the Seer in the eyes.
“I ..HA..V..E.... ...W.......O............N!” declared Cliff.
“How so?” inquired the Seer.
“WELL...” began Cliff.

--the Groups – location: outside OP city limits
“Good job people, now just keep him distracted here for a little while.” I said. I looked at IM and thought to myself for a second. “Everybody do their own thing.”
Independent Man grinned, “no one ever has to tell me to do that.” He turned to Dodge City and began showering it with his cosmic bursts.
UBAM flew up to Dodge City's knee and went to work on it.
Austin Tacious had obviously taken notes from Roy, because he was spraying Dodge City with lasers.
I realized I haven't done much thus far, just spouted off orders. I'd let other people do everything. I knew it was my time to contribute, maybe even sacrifice. I headed to the garage.

--Cl I F H Br O N
Cliff continued “YOU SEE ROY WAS LIGHT, A FINITE AMOUNT OF ENERGY, ALL OF WHICH CAN BE ABSORBED. EVEN IF ROY BREAKS ALL MY BONDS I WILL SURVIVE, DUE TO THE CONSERVATION OF MATTER.”
The Seer responds, “ah yes, how odd, the chemical compound defeated my champion with physics. I will now flee for my life as you finish off Roy.”
“VERY WELL.”
Eventually Roy ran out.

--Adam
Adam leapt back into the idle Viper and drove to the exit of Dodge City.
He looked out and back down to the sphere in his arms.
He could tell something was off, but he couldn't place it.
He set all the spheres down on the passenger seat, except one. He tossed it gently out the exit.
Adam watched as the sphere sunk like a stone in water, opposed to floating which he had expected.
“Uh oh,” muttered Adam, “microgravity is down.”
He began looking around for the solution, 'why did they have to come back for the helicopter after rescuing everyone?” Adam wondered.
“This is not good.”

--Me
I climbed into my spaceship and gave it its instructions.
It lifted off and blasted away towards Dodge City.
I watched as Dodge City slowly grew on my view screen.
“I'll miss you ship.”

--Adam
“Oh, crap, that crazy SOB... he is gonna ram me..” mumbled Adam.
He weighed all solutions. He only found one worth consideration.
Adam drove the car out the exit and fell. He watched as the spheres free fell beside him, several drifting away.
He grabbed on and found it comforting to hold.
The ground approached with much haste.

--Me
The distance to Dodge City closed fast. The screen went black. I was harshly jolted.
Moments of silence. I was encased by an airbag like device.
Minutes passed like this, is this what death is like?

--Adam
Adam felt as his hand moved instinctively without him. He shoved the ball into his chest.
He could hear as the space ship collided with Dodge City, which was torn apart and began a backwards fall.
The world faded for Adam just then.

--the Group
They watched in awe as both group leaders fell to Earth, along with Dodge City.
Adam in a Dodge Viper.
Me in a small ejection chamber.

None of them had any clue what was to happen next.
