Ok, that wasn't the most fun I had had in
awhile, I had been upstaged by Casey in combat against the KenTaco
Hut Alliance. He had taken them all down without me.
After the
victory against Dodge City and Old Navy I felt unbeatable.
Time
to go and find a villain I could stop. I searched high and low for
one small guy, I had defeated him a great number of times with no
difficulty. And, at last, I found him. He was being picked up by
the paramedics outside of a bank. I walked up beside him.
"What
happened here?" I demanded. "I was doing a standard
villainous bank job and was stopped" then he passed out.
Drats,
that was unfortunate. I'll hafta find another wimpy villain...
well, I have killed (or nearly killed) the Seer a good number of
times. I sought her out, and headed to BVN, the school from which
I graduated. I entered the building and walked down the 100
hallway. At the end (the location of Ms Cyr's room) were a few
police officers. I peaked in the room and there was Ms Cyr, with a
chalk outline around her. Someone had gotten to her first, this is
nuts. As I turned around, I realized Ms Levine was there. "I
know who did this CD." she said. "Ok" and I was
off, to attack the GAP. They deserved it.
Three hours later I
arrived at the pure white sound stage of the GAP and found it already
destroyed. And a girl was fighting off the surviving Former Students.
The team had a few additions. I reached around to the Sound FX
machine on my back and pressed the button gallantly. "MOOOOO"
it screamed, growing fainter as it went. Its batteries were near
empty. The battle paused.
Straight A grabbed her side,
which was now partially cybernetic. She quivered in fear at the
sight of me. "Former Student role call!" demanded
Straight A. "Straight A." "Not again" muttered
the girl that had been fighting them. "Sleeper!" "Extra
Curricular!" "Large Guy!" "Drop
Out!" "StuCo President!" Then Straight A
announced "and this time, CD, you will not be so fortunate to be
able to kill half of the team." The familiar looking girl
stood brooding to the side, then she spoke: "I can handle this,
CD... I have handled the rest of the trash you've fought... you
aren't needed here anymore." Then Large Guy threw an
incredible haymaker punch that the girl wasn't expecting, it
connected at the base of her skull like a sledge hammer. The girl
stumbled forward a half step, and rage consumed her. A fire lit up
behind her eyes, and an eerie energy rippled and flowed beneath her
skin. She turned her head, and focused on the Large Guy. It's Neisha!
My schoolmate and friend. "You can't harm me you fool!"
then Neisha began a relentless, rapid pummeling of the Large Guy. The
Large Guy was faltering backwards, retreating from the attacks. I
watched in terror as the Drop Out pulled out a pistol, and fired a
round into Neisha's back. She was phased for a mere moment, then
retrenched her efforts on the Large Guy. I realized that he was
nearly out of commission.
Sleeper charged me and promptly fell
asleep. I leapt over his sleeping body and jumped between Drop Out
and Neisha. And as soon as my left forearm was in-between the gun
and Neisha, Drop Out fired. The bullet tore into my arm and I
dropped to the ground and cradled my injured arm. "ow" Neisha
landed the coup de grace, a beautifully executed crescent kick that
landed on the side of Large Guy's head. Large Guy went down. "Cow
Defender, you idiot, I told you to leave. That bullet wouldn't have
hurt me, don't you understand?" "No" and I rammed
at Drop Out, who promptly realized he wasn't up to the challenge
before him, and he decided to not try to live up to his full
potential. He decided to just settle down in the fast food industry
for awhile. "Where did Extra Curricular go?" Straight A
asked Stuco President. "I think he went off and had some
other activities he had to do.. it is damned hard to schedule
anything with that guy."
I headed towards StuCo
President, while Neisha advanced upon Straight A. StuCo President
was very cocky, he walked up towards me, and thumb-gouged my
bullet-wound. "ow" I retorted by kicking him in the
gut, making him lose several steps, and then he slipped on the wet
floor. While sliding on the wet floor, he began to lose balance and
nearly fell over. He didn't actually fall over, however, at least not
until he slipped onto the top stair. He began to fall down the steps
rolling backwards. He occasionally let out an 'oof,' and finally he
reached the bottom of the stairs, where he landed on the janitor's
cart. The momentum of his falling down the stairs forced the cart
backwards, with him on it, towards the entrance door. Coincidentally
enough, the door was open, and the janitor's cart went down the
handicap ramp. I couldn't see it anymore after it entered
traffic.
Neisha watched it all in aggravated awe. "How
does one man have so much damned luck?" Straight A then
entered a martial arts stance and taunted Neisha to bring it
on. Neisha was ready to do just that. She kicked Straight A square
in the chin. Straight A didn't flinch. "Due to my previous
run in with Cow Defender I am now a good deal cyborg. And my right
jabs can level even you, my foe." She demonstrated with a
lightning fast jackhammer blow to Neisha's forehead. "Ack..."
said Neisha and she fumbled around for a couple of seconds. Straight
A gloated over this accomplishment and turned to me. "See
what you have created in me CD? You have made me more powerful than I
could imagine." she turned back to Neisha, who was regaining her
grip on the world. "No real damage, Straight A... just
dizzying." Straight A nearly went slack-jawed. "We
shall see..." She threw another punch at Neisha... I decided
to do the gentlemanly thing to do, so I jumped into the jackhammer
punch. I realized after getting my head in the way of the punch that
Neisha had been able to dodge the attack, and the last thing I saw
for a brief while was Neisha's disapproving look. The massive blow
collided with my head. I believedfor a moment that my skull very well
might buckle or collapse. The lights of the world flashed out. I
could only let one sound out. "ow"
A while later
I regained consciousness, first thing my eyes focused upon was Neisha
glaring down at me. She looked from side to side. "Steven, I
don't want you to get hurt in this super heroing mess. I can't be
hurt. Let me take over for you." "Nope. I can't have
that, Neisha. Hey, wait, how did you know it was me?" "Well,
back during the school year I had been serving a detention when you
came in as Cow Defender and asked Ms Levine for a Cl I F H Br O N,
she had forgotten I was there, and she kept referring to you as
Steven. Plus the fact that my house is across the street from the
garage. I would see Steven go in and CD come out. Steven wouldn't
come out until CD had come back." "Oh." "So,
come on, Steven... let me take over for you... I defeated all of your
old enemies to make sure that I could fill in your shoes, and I did
it in just one day." "Nope, I can't. I am as much Cow
Defender as I am Steven. And no one can ask me to stop being
either." "That is nice and all... but Steven... I am
willing to fight you to save. You are bound to get yourself killed as
CD... so, Steven, let's fight, if I win you retire and I will take
over your Cow Defending duties." "I don't know, I can't
hit a girl." "Too bad, and it's a deal." she
punched me in the ribs harshly, knocking all the wind from me. I
began hyperventilating and became completely dizzied. I jumped
backwards and landed on the wet floor. I slipped and fell while
Neisha was attempting a haymaker punch of her own. Her momentum
carried her onto the wet tile floor. I'd fallen into a clump on the
ground, Neisha wasn't so lucky. She had taken the same route as the
StuCo President. She had been fortunate in that the janitorial cart
hadn't been there. She maddeningly sprinted up the stairs. There
was a hellacious fury and it targeted me.
"I can't hit a
girl... but I must stay Cow Defender." "This is for your
own good, Steven." I retracted, my mind raced... 'what can I
do to stay me...' then it came to me. I focused then roared out...
"-\|Cattle Stampede|/-" and hundreds of invisible cattle
bore down upon Neisha... she screeched with pain... I can't hit a
girl... but a herd of cows sure can. Neisha began pushing herself
back to her feet as the stampede tapered off. "Impressive...
but not good enough... your carreer is over, you were a great
hero."
I felt the ball o' yellow glow from within
me. Patros whispered to
me. "becomethebullbecomethebullbecomethebullbecomethebull" I
felt as the yellow surged through me and I did as Patros
instructed. I lost control of my body, which charged Neisha. Horns
of yellow energy formed upon my head and gored Neisha. I bucked
around and flung her into the rafters of the damaged building. The
building began to collapse... I shook it off and regained control of
myself. "Geez... Neisha... are you ok?" and she slowly
crawled out from under the rubble. "I am at a loss, Steven,
maybe you can do this better than I" and she passed out. I took
her for a ride on my High Horse and got us to OP, where she regained
consciousness.
"Well, Steven, I guess I can't be a super
hero now." she said with a pout. "That wasn't the
deal." "What?" "If I lost I couldn't be a hero
anymore, we didn't say anything about what happens if you
lose." "Really? You mean it... I can be a hero,
too?" "Sure, evil is in trouble." and Neisha ran
forward and gave me a big hug. I was thusly reminded of my arm injury
and passed out.
